Yvonne Glorioso

Like some of her Ocean Surfari counterparts, Yvonne Glorioso started her life in the Virgin Islands on a sailboat.

She originally came to St. Thomas to work term yacht charters, but that fell through and she was working another gig when she was recruited by Ocean Surfari.

She said that move was the perfect fit, since she had more than 20 years of experience as a retail manager under her belt.

But her life before the USVI saw her living all over the globe. Yvonne’s dad was in the Air Force, meaning that growing up, she got to go wherever in the world he was stationed. What she recalls about those days is that she was a hula dancer. “I danced at shows on the Air Force bases in Guam, California, North Dakota and New York.”

Other travel has taken her to other parts of the world. “I’ve been to the Cliffs of Moher and kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland.”

But the mother of three has a fondness for warm weather and the beach, so the Virgin Islands has her heart now. Her heart also belongs to her children Samantha, Zachary and Kylie and her husband Todd, with whom she operates Jeep Surfari, which is an affiliate excursion with Ocean Surfari.

As the store manager of the Havensight location on St. Thomas, Yvonne is known for her cheerful, easy going nature.

She loves overseeing all the operations there and making sure customers who come into the store have an engaging experience and take home merchandise that commemorates their Virgin Islands adventures.

She loves being an ambassador for Ocean Surfari and the Virgin Islands.

“I have been with OS since October 2018. At this point, I pretty much eat, drink, breathe and bleed OS. This is by far the best company I have ever had the privilege of being a part of. Marc has taught me so much, the most important being that we always look for the win-win in every situation – guest relations, company relations, vendor relations etc.

I am so proud to be part of the amazing OS team!”
