Steve Marshall

Steve Marshall is the Ocean Surfari warehouse manager where he oversees the ordering and receiving of Ocean Surfari merchandise as well as pricing and distribution of product to the stores.

That’s a big job since Ocean Surfari has four retail stores in the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as its online store.

Originally from Iowa, Steve was living in Kansas City when he transferred down to St. Thomas in 2015 with Walgreens, where he worked until he “retired.”

But then he joined the Ocean Surfari team in 2021 to continue using his 35+ years of manager experience.

He and his longtime partner, Angie, love island life and going to the beach.

A notable memory from his island chapter of life was running the 8 Tuff Miles race on St. John when he was 50. That race is legendary in these parts.

Steve loves cooking, especially BBQ. When he lived on the mainland he was a member of Operation BBQ.

“I did competitive BBQ cooking back when I was in the States. I would do 5 to 10 events every year. One year, we placed 11th in pulled pork at the American Royal BBQ challenge. This was out of over 550 teams! Once cooked and served BBQ to over 300 people at a homeless shelter,” he said. Sounds delicious!

Steve fits in with the Ocean Surfari approach to business and life perfectly.
