INSHORE BOTTOM FISHING TRIPS

$175 per person

Ocean Surfari’s Per Person inshore bottom fishing trip offers guests the opportunity to experience outstanding saltwater fishing action at a lower cost for small parties and single anglers.  We fish deep water reefs in 60 to 130 feet of water near St Thomas.  The trip requires a minimum of 4 guests to make it economically feasible to go.  The 4 guests do not have to be in the same group, it is an open shared vessel between groups.  The maximum number of guests is 6.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A: Several restaurants on St. Thomas will cook your catch. We will fillet whatever you would like to eat and you can have it prepared here on island. Keep all the fish you wish with Ocean Surfari.

A: We do not have any age restrictions for our guests. Children of any age are welcome but we do suggest inshore fishing for young kids as the seas are calmer and usually more action. In general 5 years and older do very well.

A: It is VERY rare that one of Ocean Surfari’s boats completely strike out. I know of only two occasions in the last 8 years when this has happened and both trips were targeting blue marlin exclusively. As long as guests are willing to listen to our advise regarding best fishing options, we will make sure everyone catches at least one fish and usually much more.

  • All bait and fishing tackle (live bait when available)
  • You can keep what you catch on your trip
  • All U.S. Coast Guard-required safety equipment

A: Ocean Surfari captains determine inshore and offshore trips based on weather conditions and customer preferences.

ST. JOHN PICKUP LOCATION

We offer complementary pick up on St. John. Guests can be picked up directly from the Cruz Bay Visitor Center. 

Departing from American Yacht Harbor in St. Thomas (complimentary St. John pick-up is also available). Prices include fuel costs. Crew gratuities are appreciated. No fishing license or experience is required for recreational fishing in the U.S. Virgin Islands. To confirm your charter booking, a $300 deposit is required plus an $18 booking fee. The deposit will be applied to the total cost of your charter. Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of your charter date will receive a full refund of any payment made. No less than $300 of any deposit will be forfeited if cancellations are made with less than 48 hours’ notice. Ocean Surfari Charters reserves the right to modify reservation policies and fees at any time.
